What the fox eye treatment is

The treatment known as fox eye aims to create a limited upward support at the tail of the brow and the outer corner of the eye. Depending on the area, botulinum toxin, filler or suspension threads may be planned alone or in combination.

Which method is chosen is not a matter of preference. It follows an assessment of the current brow position, the structure of the eyelid, the balance of the forehead muscles and the quality of the skin.

Why realistic expectation matters so much here

This treatment is often presented on social media through exaggerated examples. The amount of lift achievable without surgery is limited, and it does not reshape the proportions of the face.

An over-pulled, unnatural look is not an aesthetic goal; it is usually the result of too much product or of working along the wrong vector. The aim is an eye area that reads as rested rather than tired.

Where the tail of the brow sits very low anatomically, or where there is significant excess upper eyelid skin, this approach will not be sufficient and surgical options are discussed instead.

Treatment and what follows

The procedure takes around half an hour depending on the area and the method chosen. When toxin is used the effect begins within a few days; when filler is used the change is seen sooner, but swelling means the final appearance settles over about two weeks.

For the first few days we advise not rubbing the area and avoiding very hot environments and strenuous exercise.

Risks and when it is not appropriate

The area around the eye is delicate in terms of both vessels and nerves. Asymmetry, swelling, bruising and — where filler is used — the risk of a vascular complication all apply, which is why the treatment belongs with a physician who knows this anatomy well.

It is not used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is active infection in the area, or in neuromuscular disease.
