What exosomes are
Exosomes are extracellular vesicles, roughly 30–150 nanometres across, released by cells. They carry proteins, lipids and various RNA molecules, and they play a part in transferring information between cells. The interest in them in aesthetic medicine rests on the idea that this signalling role may support tissue repair processes.
Framing the expectation properly
We would rather be open about this from the outset. Exosomes remain an actively researched area of regenerative medicine. The source of the products, the purification method, the standardisation of their contents and the regulatory framework around them differ markedly between countries and between manufacturers.
What that means in practice: it is more accurate to regard an exosome treatment as an evolving approach aimed at supporting skin quality than as a proven method of rejuvenation. This is not a field in which anyone should be offering you a guaranteed result.

How it is carried out
Exosome preparations are usually planned not on their own but alongside treatments that help them cross the skin barrier, such as microneedling or mesotherapy. The number of sessions and the interval between them are set according to the goal and how your skin responds.
For a few days afterwards we advise sun protection, gentle cleansing, and avoiding products that challenge the skin barrier.
Safety and when it is not appropriate
Treatment is carried out under sterile conditions. Active infection at the site, pregnancy and breastfeeding, and a history of active oncological disease all require detailed medical assessment. Sharing your medications and medical history fully at the consultation is necessary for that judgement to be made correctly.
